MEET THE TEAM!

VIKKI CLYBURN

Executive Director

My career in senior care began in the late 70’s as a caregiver in a skilled nursing facility, and immediately I found my passion! This job was the catalyst for me as I became a certified nursing assistant, medication aide, and eventually went to nursing school. As I tried many different roles in hospital nursing, I always returned to caring for senior citizens. There is just something about that little hand of a resident on your cheek, or the memories of a past they willingly share. We have so much to learn, if we only listen. After my husband and I moved to League City in 1995, I was hired as a Resident Care Director by the old Rosemont……which is now Reunion Court of Clear Lake! I have so many memories of laughter and tears from this community, and I see faces of those I cared for years ago! In 2006 I was given an opportunity to grow into another role as executive director, and began learning a different side of senior care. I honestly think my years of experience in operations as well as the clinical side, will be helpful at Reunion Court of Clear Lake, and feel it is an honor to serve the residents. I am so excited to be back where it all began!

REBECCA MARTINEZ

Marketing Director

Rebecca Martinez, Marketing Director, brings her 25 years of experience working in the medical field to her role with medical marketing. Due to her vast knowledge and exposure to the disciplines of Family Medicine, OBGYN, Orthopedics, Aquatic Physical Therapy, and Sleep Medicine she is perfectly poised to address the various health morbidities which often accompany residents in assisted living communities.

Before joining the team at Reunion Court of Clear Lake, Rebecca served as the Marketing Director at Baybrook Sleep Specialist, a sleep lab in the Clear Lake area, where she also served successfully as a marketing team trainer. Her passion in delivering quality care and providing attention to those most vulnerable stems from her strong family ties, personal experiences as a family care giver, her strong personal faith, as well as her professional experiences in healthcare.

She has a talent for cultivating relationships between healthcare providers and the healthcare system itself, and has distinguished herself not only as an effective team manager, but a leader as well.

Born and raised in the Houston, TX area, Rebecca is a married to Edward. They have 4 children to whom she dedicates her free time to as a wife and mother. Her hobbies include physical fitness, outdoors activities, cooking, and running.

CATHY EVANS

Activities Director

I was born in Chicago, Ill but Texas has been home for the last 48 years.

Senior living has been a big part of my life for 2 years now. And I would have to say I have the best job ever as an Activity Manager! I get to bring joy and fun into our residents daily lives. I enjoy seeing the smiles on their faces while we play the games or are working on an activity.

I am a wife of 33 years and we have 4 grown children and best of all I have 4 adorable grandchildren.

Volunteering at my church brings me joy. I also love to cook, bake and sew.

LIZ THIGPIN

Activities Director for Independent Living

I am Elizabeth Thigpin or (Liz) to the residents here to keep it short. A little bit about me: I am a Houstonian born and raised in the East Aldine area of Houston. I have kids, grandkids, and my mom that live with me and of course I have to have some pets. I came to work in this community many moons ago (May 2013). I was out job hunting one day and had prior janitorial skills and as luck would have it they were looking for a housekeeper! I had my interview and I was in. I got along so well with the residents and learned a lot from them. The opportunity to move up to Housekeeping Supervisor came up and I took a shot at it. Then this past year (2020) I was offered an Activities Manager position, so of course I took that opportunity. I wouldn’t see myself anywhere else but here. My love for the residents and hearing their stories is what helped me thrive in all my roles here. I thank the residents and the Company for giving me this blessing to be here for as long as I’ve been here and counting. I wouldn’t be here still to this day without all of them.
