Respite care provides temporary relief for caregivers and family members caring for people with disabilities or special needs. Respite care can also be employed to allow for recovery after a surgery or hospital stay. That’s where Legacy Ranch can help.
Caring for a loved one in the home can be a very rewarding experience but it can also be an overwhelming undertaking. It is essential that family members get sufficient and regular support as well as respite time.
My name is Jennifer Galyean and I am very glad to be part of the 12 Oaks Senior Living team. I have worked in the Senior Living industry for 11 years. I attended college in Oklahoma where first obtained my Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration and then obtained my Associate’s degree for Nursing. I got my start as a hospitality aide while attending nursing school. I continued up the career ladder working as a Medication Aide, Charge Nurse, and then MDS nurse in skilled nursing. I then began the process to receive my license for Nursing Home Administration.
I was born and raised in the Panhandle of Texas and moved to Oklahoma after completing high school where my husband and I called home for 8 years before returning to Texas. My family and I moved back to West Texas in 2016 and I continued to work as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator before joining the team at Legacy Ranch Memory Care as Executive Director. I am married to my husband of 11 years and we have two daughters Tenlea and Parker Kate. We love to take trips and travel as much as time will allow. When not at home playing and entertaining the girls we can be found on the golf course. My husband is an avid golfer and I love to tag-a-long to enjoy a cart ride and fellowship as much as I can.
Kimberly Bautista, Resident Care Director, has been a nurse for over 6 years focusing on geriatric care. Kimberly was born in Big Spring, TX and has been a native to west TX throughout her life. Kimberly graduated with her Licensed Vocational Nursing certificate from Midland College in 2014. She returned to Midland College in 2017 and earned her Associate Degree in Nursing to become a registered nurse. Kimberly made the decision to dedicate her career to caring for those with Alzheimer’s Disease due to having personally loved and cared for her grandparent with the disease. It is an honor for her to care for those in need.
Kimberly and her husband, Juan, have been married over 11 years and have two daughters, Ambrielle and Kylen. In her time away from job duties Kimberly enjoys traveling and exploring new places with her family. Other interests include shopping, shoes, sharing her faith, and spending time with her family and friends.
Kimberly is excited to be part of the care team and help provide the best quality care to the residents at Legacy Ranch.
