As our Executive Director, Adam oversees daily operations and staff to make sure Heatheridge is a thriving community where residents love to live. He’s inspired each day by an amazing staff that make our residents feel seen, heard and valued. Adam’s family has a long history of serving seniors, so he decided to pursue nursing, eventually attending business school to become licensed to operate Assisted Living facilities. His goal is to be a support to each person he interacts with, from staff to residents to families. It can be hard on families to make the decision to move a loved one to Assisted Living, so Heatheridge aims to alleviate those concerns by being a safe and caring community where everything is done with excellence.
Adam is also married to a nurse, and most of his extended family works in healthcare or as a clergy member. He enjoys golf for relaxation.
As Marketing Director, Joaney understands the importance of empathy – to understand the thoughts and feelings of families interested in moving a loved one to Assisted Living. There are a lot of emotions associated with leaving home and moving to a senior community, so Joaney is a resource and patient listener in helping guide families on their journey. She’s always been interested in helping seniors and has worked as a CNA and assisting with medications. Her husband is her best friend and they have four grown children and five grandchildren.
As Marketing Assistant, Rachael assists families in touring Heatheridge and helping them navigate the feelings and challenges associated with moving to senior living. Her goal each day is to make at least one meaningful connection with a resident or prospect. During the early days of the COVID pandemic, Rachael heard that Heatheridge needed help in dining, so she jumped in as a server and fell in love with helping seniors. She never looked back and has been a valued asset for our team. In her free time, she loves to hike outdoors or read a good book.
As Resident Care Director, Dana performs health assessments, trains our staff, and oversees the well-being of each of our residents. She’s a skilled and experienced nurse, having worked in Surgery, ER and ICU for 15 years. She also spent four years as a Combat Medic in the U.S. Army Reserve. She initially came to Heatheridge as Activity Director, because she loves to have fun and make a difference. She also has a personal interest in painting and arts & crafts, which she loves to do with residents. Dana’s goal each day is for each resident to maintain their independence and dignity, with the compassionate care that makes it possible.
Lori has the pleasure of planning and managing all of our activities, events and socials. The more fun our residents can have, the healthier they feel. And Lori has a special ability to get them to participate, even the residents who normally keep to themselves. It’s a rewarding job, and one that she took on after spending time as a CNA and CHHA. Lori has also been a cook, and she enjoys spending time with her fiancé riding motorcycles.
Rhonda wants every resident to enjoy their day and feel useful and loved, which is why it’s incredibly rewarding to see the smiles on their faces when they play games or participate in activities. Rhonda has worked in the medical field since the 80s as a CNA and CMA, and over the years had a special affinity for helping seniors, listening to them and helping them feel important. In addition to being an Activity Assistant, Rhonda loves to swim and camp and spend time with family and friends.
Anna enjoys serving our community by managing budgets, billing, and all the paperwork and small details that go into operating Heatheridge. Her family owned funeral homes when she was a child, and Anna knew that someday she wanted to work with seniors. She loves the appreciation and gratitude residents show for small acts of kindness. It makes the environment positive and rewarding. In her free time Anna enjoys running, yoga and watching football.
Mary is the first point of contact for people calling or visiting Heatheridge, and her kindness sets a positive tone for our reception area. She has prior experience in senior living as a CNA and has always enjoyed the company of seniors. When she’s not working, she enjoys crafting or water activities with her family.
