At our assisted living community, we focus on delivering excellence in all we do. We’re dedicated to helping you achieve better health by offering an ideal combination of clinical and therapeutic outcomes and personal wellness goals. Our mission is to enhance the lives of those we serve and we do this by providing an outstanding living for seniors that heighten patient and resident satisfaction.
A move to Assisted Living at our community provides the opportunity to explore a new way of life; one that offers new beginnings of all kinds—engaging new friendships and enriching activities built around small group involvement. We’re here to make the transition from home to our community as easy and stress-free as possible.
Residents are encouraged to be part of social activities and enjoy a relaxed lifestyle without the obligation to keep up with chores or burdensome household tasks. From simple housekeeping and nutritious meals to hygiene and healthcare, we strive to enable our residents to lead their own lives in a way that is happy and healthy.
Assisted Living at our community comes with many benefits and options including:
Robina has the privilege of leading our team at The Residence, setting a caring and compassionate tone
in meeting all the daily needs of our residents. She has decades of experience serving the senior population through Medicare and Medicaid services, home care and skilled service. Her own mother was deaf, and growing up Robina assisted as her interpreter and developed a passion for helping others.
Families and staff alike know that Robina is responsive and available, always seeking to have a positive impact on our community. She knows it takes a team effort to make The Residence a safe and caring
environment, so she encourages her staff to trust themselves and continue to learn and grow.
Robina is a proud mother to four sons, three grown and one in middle school. Her hobby is keeping her youngest engaged with sports.
As our Activity Director, Mary plans and carries out all the daily activities and events at The Residence. She loves to see our residents having fun and making connections through games or socials. “If I laugh with someone that day I consider it a huge success.” Mary is a certified ADC and also a Certified Dementia Practitioner, having served seniors for the past decade.
The multi-talented Mary is also an actress and singer and still teaches youth theater production. Her creativity and improvisation skills have been a perfect fit for relieving stress and bringing joy to seniors!
She has been married for 25 years and has three children.
Tracy brings a lifetime of experience to serving up delicious dishes for our residents. She’s been working
in the health care field since 1978, after watching her own mother serve as a nurse. In addition to creating our menu and overseeing staff and food ordering, Tracey loves talking to residents and hearing what kind of favorite meals they would like on the menu. Because of her certifications in allergy awareness and food safety, she can work within the dietary restrictions and needs our residents have. She also loves cooking with family for football games, and gardening
Seniors at The Residence at Whitcomb House love the freedom of not having to worry about home
repair and maintenance. Ovanny’s job is to oversee all those details to keep our facility clean and in working order. Originally from the Dominican Republic, he’s been a skilled carpenter and property manager since moving to the United States in 1994. Seniors are the most enjoyable group he’s worked with, and he comes to work every morning with a smile. Ovanny enjoys time with his wife and five children, especially teaching them baseball.
