As Executive Director, Chris is responsible for the overall operation of Wyndham Court, working to make it a caring environment where seniors thrive. After seeing his own grandfather in a nursing home, Chris knew there had to be a better way to meet the needs of seniors needing assistance or memory care. That’s why he loves working at a community like ours. “I consider it my true calling due to the life enrichment and creativity it provides.”
Before joining senior living, Chris worked for 17 years in long-term care as a Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator, mostly in home health and hospice. In addition, he studied Business and Strategic Leadership at the University of New York, so he is passionate about leading and developing a great team. In his spare time, Chris enjoys golf, chess, traveling, reading and exercise.
Amy is an invaluable resource for families looking for the best fit for their senior loved one. Having worked in senior living for nearly two decades, primarily as a Marketing Director, she has found that every family has a unique story and set of circumstances. She loves to listen and help problem solve. Her favorite part of working at Wyndham Court is visiting with families, being a resource, and giving tours of our beautiful property.
While pursuing a degree in Health Care Administration many years ago, Amy worked as an intern at an Assisted Living community in Idaho and knew immediately it was exactly the career she was looking for. Amy enjoys picnics at the lake with her kids, and local concerts and music.
As Resident Care Director, Shannon oversees all caregiving plans and care staff at Wyndham Court. Her guiding principle is to ensure residents are treated like family. “I recognize each resident is someone's family member and my thought process is – if this was my family member, how would I feel. I want our community to be known for the best care in Plano.”
Shannon has been a Licensed Vocational Nurse for more than 20 years, with most of her career dedicated to seniors. She knows how hard it can be to make the decision to move a family member to a community, which is why she is so passionate about her role to ensure excellent care. She and her husband have five children and four grandchildren.
Adelaide oversees Keepsake Gardens as our Memory Care Coordinator, recognizing the ever-changing needs of these residents and guiding all the important aspects of their care, from staff training, to doctor communication, to activity engagement. Her mother was a nurse in Africa, inspiring her to pursue her own career in skilled nursing. She’s been at it for 15 years, seeking to set a positive and consistent example for her team. She enjoys time with her three children and three grandchildren, especially going on mall walks.
Lolita is happiest when she’s engaging with our residents, which is a big part of being Activity Director. She plans and conducts our many socials, events, crafts and games. Her aim every day is to bring smiles and hope to as many lives as possible. Lolita started working in senior living 13 years ago as a home health aide, and as her love of seniors grew she became certified as an Activity Director. Her own interest in crafts and painting means she’s always coming up with creative ways for residents to express themselves. She also has three wonderful grandsons.
Leslie manages all of our day-to-day administrative tasks, and loves the caring environment she’s part of at Wyndham Court. After earning a Business Management degree in 2015, she worked part time for us on the weekends. “I loved being around the residents, socializing with them was the best part of my day. I realized I was happy and loved the environment, and I decided to do it full time.” Leslie also love to relax with her husband and get together with other family.
Melsades oversees one of the most critical and beloved aspects of our community - our restaurant style dining experience. As a skilled chef with Jamaican heritage, Melsades studied Culinary Arts in New York and began working in food service in 1996. After working in restaurants, she quickly discovered she could make a difference in the lives of seniors and moved to hospitals and then senior living. She’s been serving seniors for more than 20 years! Outside of work she cares for her 89-year-old father, collects leopard prints, meditates, and enjoys home decorating. She’s a fourth generation chef in her family.
Whether it’s changing a light bulb or fixing a leaky faucet, Antonio loves to solve problems and see our residents smile. He oversees our beautiful property at Wyndham Court, keeping our building up to code and functioning efficiently. He loves anything physical, especially projects that involve heavy lifting or testing his strength! Antonio keeps eating protein to keep his strength up – he’s part of a large family that loves to grill meat!
