As our Executive Director, Carla oversees daily operations and staff to make sure Heritage Grove is a thriving community where residents love to live. As a child and teenager, her favorite person was her grandma, so she became a nurse and later earned certifications as an Activity Director and Licensed Administrator. Care and support are the traits that Carla is passionate about exercising—both care and support for her staff, and care and support for each resident. “There isn’t a time in my life that I didn’t strive every day to brighten someone else’s life.”
Carla has two children and two grandchildren she enjoys spending time with, and she enjoys relaxing by binging any great streaming series.
Chasley oversees our full calendar of activities and events that bring fun and purpose to each day at Heritage Grove. “With the activities we do I see a lot of smiles and hear a lot of laughs. That touches my heart.” There’s nothing she enjoys more than seeing our residents light up from a game or art project.
Chasley became a CNA at 18 years old and earned her CMA over a decade ago. She and her husband and kids (and grandkids!) also have musical talents, play instruments, and enjoy Gospel singing. All those artistic skills come in handy when doing what she loves - caring for seniors.
Kala handles all of our financials, billing and payroll, while also finding time to engage our residents doing puzzles or just listening and visiting. Her mother and grandmother were both nurses, so Kala worked as a CNA when she was 18 and has been serving seniors ever since. She worked in nursing, activities, and even developmental disability services before moving to the business side. The most fulfilling part of her job is providing friendship and love for residents who may be lonely. She has two boys at home and enjoys reading in her free time.
Ronald prepares our delicious & healthy menu and supervises our dining team at Heritage Grove. As a decorated chef and award-winning cake decorator, he was looking for a more purposeful and meaningful use of his talents, and found it in serving seniors. The motto for his team is “We Say Yes.” If residents mention something they crave or want to see on the menu, Ronald makes it happen! He has a first grade son and enjoys skateboarding to relax and feel young.
Tara is responsible for maintenance, cleaning and safety at Heritage Grove, and has served the senior living community for the past 15 years. But it’s the personal connection with residents that she enjoys most, whether helping program someone’s TV or changing a light bulb. She loves any opportunity to feel useful and put her residents first. In her free time, Tara loves to fish, camp, and watch her son play baseball.
